The Wainerdi Wellness Institute was formed by The Fountain of Praise to address health disparities and lead collaborations to foster access, research, health education and training. The partnership with Central Care Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center, provides accessible, affordable and high quality comprehensive healthcare services to all the residents of the Greater Houston area.

The Hillcroft Health & Wellness Center is strategically located in a Medically Underserved Area (MUA) to promote health and wellness in the community. The center includes (19) exam rooms, (4) dental operatories, (2) saunas, an indoor track, a Zumba room, a Kids Alley, exercise & activity rooms, weight & fitness equipment, and a fitness store.

This project was primarily funded by a $1.1 million Community Development Block Grant awarded by The City of Houston Housing & Community Development Department, Mayor Annise Parker, Council Member Larry Green and Director Neal Rackleff.
